This return of Super Forms in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has sparked immense enthusiasm across the fandom. From the gradual unveiling of fresh additions ahead of the title's launch, to trainers forming strong opinions on the full roster of Mega Evolutions, there's a lot for enthusiasts to look forward to.

Given many of the Mega Evolutions boasting unique designs that highlight their traits, one idea naturally: How can link this with zodiac signs? This list is inspired by a blend of vibes, sign stereotypes, and individual observations.

The Ram – Super Camerupt

To be truthful, Houndoom was nearly chosen for this fire sign, as they are the Mega Pokémon and zodiac symbol that evoke the greatest apprehension. However, a Super Houndoom comes across as constantly furious, which doesn't match the Aries vibe, renowned for being playful, cheerful, and impulsive. This makes Aries far more similar to Super Camerupt, which solely erupts when provoked. Stay on the friendly side of either and enjoy a powerful partner; should you offend them, prepare to face the consequences.

Taurus – Super Heracross

Similar to a devoted Taurus, the steadfast Heracross species, whether in its standard and Super Form, has aided numerous players in Legends: Z-A. While dependable, both the Pokémon and a Bull are also battle-oriented, and – be it their companion or a strong opinion – will defend their side to the end. The thing about Mega Heracross that reminds me most of my Bull-sign companions, however, is its unabashed passion for treats. Much like an enrapturing, sociable Twins, it's very easy to imagine Super Medicham captivating an whole Wild Zone with their stories. Starmie is also rumored to be broadcasting signals from its red core out into the cosmos, and it’s just like a Lion to be staging a performance, albeit for extraterrestrials.

The Maiden – Mega Victreebel

The ever-prepared and constantly-worried Virgo is ideally encapsulated in Mega Victreebel, the Mega with constant digestive issues. The zodiac symbol famous for being charmingly judgmental is clearly mirrored across this Pokémon’s entire evolutionary chain, from a always surprised face like a Virgo when you inform them you don’t have a retirement plan, to its inverted visage that’s similar to the symbol a Virgo posts to the chatroom when all says they want to “go with the flow” rather than making a plan.

Libra – Super Audino

Look at this gentle, empathetic being, who employs the sensors on its auditory organs to detect how people are feeling by their pulse. Always compassionate – occasionally to a detriment – and striving to keep the harmony, there are many Scales who would probably appreciate Mega Audino’s abilities. However, to be frank, it would probably just make them stress even more about everyone else.

Scorpio – Super Banette

Banette is a Pokémon with a unexpectedly sad backstory: Discarded as a toy, it gained consciousness through pure hatred and vowed retribution on its previous caretaker. According to the Pokédex, Super Evolution, “increases its vindictiveness.” That sounds precisely like many discussions I’ve had with my intense Scorpio acquaintances. A Scorpio loves karma and retribution, making them the ideal pair with Mega Banette.

The Archer – Mega Hawlucha

Both Super Hawlucha and Sagittarians are constantly putting on a performance. As a Archer personally, the amount of times I’ve called myself some version of a “playful little entertainer” is countless. The most flamboyant and most attention-seeking Mega Evolution, its Pokédex entry even mentions how it “poses to display its power.” I would do the exact same thing if I had a Mega evolved form, making Super Hawlucha the most fitting Sagittarius match I can imagine.

The Goat – Mega Absol

Did you know that a Super Absol has the power to foresee disasters ahead of time? That gives the exact same vibe as a Capricorn, who often always believe they’re right. Interestingly, much like a prophetic Super Absol, they frequently are.
