The Perfect Pocket Monster Tales: Z-A Super Form Based on Your Zodiac Sign
This return of Super Forms in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has sparked immense enthusiasm across the fandom. From the gradual unveiling of fresh additions ahead of the title's launch, to trainers forming strong opinions on the full roster of Mega Evolutions, there's a lot for enthusiasts to look forward to.
Given many of the Mega Evolutions boasting unique designs that highlight their traits, one idea naturally: How can link this with zodiac signs? This list is inspired by a blend of vibes, sign stereotypes, and individual observations.
The Ram – Super Camerupt
To be truthful, Houndoom was nearly chosen for this fire sign, as they are the Mega Pokémon and zodiac symbol that evoke the greatest apprehension. However, a Super Houndoom comes across as constantly furious, which doesn't match the Aries vibe, renowned for being playful, cheerful, and impulsive. This makes Aries far more similar to Super Camerupt, which solely erupts when provoked. Stay on the friendly side of either and enjoy a powerful partner; should you offend them, prepare to face the consequences.
Taurus – Super Heracross
Similar to a devoted Taurus, the steadfast Heracross species, whether in its standard and Super Form, has aided numerous players in Legends: Z-A. While dependable, both the Pokémon and a Bull are also battle-oriented, and – be it their companion or a strong opinion – will defend their side to the end. The thing about Mega Heracross that reminds me most of my Bull-sign companions, however, is its unabashed passion for treats. Several previous Pokédex entries mention their fondness for tasty sap and how it employs its horn to collect it all, which is true Taurus energy.
The Twins – Super Medicham
Look at this total royalty. It's impossible to tell me this Pokémon is not the soul of every party, offering an endless fountain of chatter to anyone who wish to hear. Much like an enrapturing, sociable Twins, it's very easy to imagine Super Medicham captivating an whole Wild Zone with their stories. This Pokémon's official description also states its capacity to predict an enemy’s next moves, which sounds very similar to a socially-savvy Twins.
The Crab – Mega Manectric
Cancer is widely considered as the most emotional sign of the zodiac, a passionate symbol known for often getting wrapped up in their emotions. According to the Pokédex, Super Evolution charges the Pokémon with a “huge amount of energy, but it's excessive for Manectric to fully control,” which seems a lot like a classic Cancer emotional outburst. It is also recognized for its capability to create a thundercloud over its own self – and if there’s a single trait a Cancer is likely to do, it’s rain on their good time.
Leo – Super Starmie
Oh, did you think I was planning to select the lion Pokémon for the king of the zodiac? Aside from the fact that it would be much too obvious, Leo is clearly Mega Starmie, the diva whose gams just became an internet sensation for being extremely glamorous (or terrifying, based on your preference). Players were captivated from the purple sea star, and that’s precisely the same energy a Lion brings to the table. Starmie is also rumored to be broadcasting signals from its red core out into the cosmos, and it’s just like a Lion to be staging a performance, albeit for extraterrestrials.
The Maiden – Mega Victreebel
The ever-prepared and constantly-worried Virgo is ideally encapsulated in Mega Victreebel, the Mega with constant digestive issues. The zodiac symbol famous for being charmingly judgmental is clearly mirrored across this Pokémon’s entire evolutionary chain, from a always surprised face like a Virgo when you inform them you don’t have a retirement plan, to its inverted visage that’s similar to the symbol a Virgo posts to the chatroom when all says they want to “go with the flow” rather than making a plan.
Libra – Super Audino
Look at this gentle, empathetic being, who employs the sensors on its auditory organs to detect how people are feeling by their pulse. Always compassionate – occasionally to a detriment – and striving to keep the harmony, there are many Scales who would probably appreciate Mega Audino’s abilities. However, to be frank, it would probably just make them stress even more about everyone else.
Scorpio – Super Banette
Banette is a Pokémon with a unexpectedly sad backstory: Discarded as a toy, it gained consciousness through pure hatred and vowed retribution on its previous caretaker. According to the Pokédex, Super Evolution, “increases its vindictiveness.” That sounds precisely like many discussions I’ve had with my intense Scorpio acquaintances. A Scorpio loves karma and retribution, making them the ideal pair with Mega Banette.
The Archer – Mega Hawlucha
Both Super Hawlucha and Sagittarians are constantly putting on a performance. As a Archer personally, the amount of times I’ve called myself some version of a “playful little entertainer” is countless. The most flamboyant and most attention-seeking Mega Evolution, its Pokédex entry even mentions how it “poses to display its power.” I would do the exact same thing if I had a Mega evolved form, making Super Hawlucha the most fitting Sagittarius match I can imagine.
The Goat – Mega Absol
Did you know that a Super Absol has the power to foresee disasters ahead of time? That gives the exact same vibe as a Capricorn, who often always believe they’re right. Interestingly, much like a prophetic Super Absol, they frequently are. It’s also the very first Super Form that trainers meet in Legends: Z-A – typical of a Goat to get in on the beginning of the Mega trend.
The Water Bearer – Super Chandelure
Aloof element Water Bearer is possibly the non-fire sign that is most like a flame symbol – its sister sign is the Lion, and there are countless jokes about Sagittarius and Water Bearer being chaotic accomplices. Mega Chandelure’s dual Spirit/Flame category fits perfectly with this, and the Mega’s overall daunting aura is also very Water Bearer. If you weren’t already persuaded, the Super Form's description says it “draws in hatred and converts it into strength.” If that doesn’t exactly {encaps
